I Went Shopping This Weekend.

Unlike most people, for me Valentine's Day isn't a holiday for flowers and candy. I say, spend your money on something you're actually going to use and love…that won't die in 5 days or add inches to your waist. This being our 9th Valentine's together, the husband is well aware of this fact. But still bought me flowers and canoli anyway…aww! Such a sweetie. Because I do love flowers and always have fresh ones in the house anyway -- and yes, silk ones as well. But seriously, let's spend our money on things we'll actually get use out of! You know, like clothes and makeup :)

I have a sneaking suspicion that B (my husband) likes shopping way more than he would care to let on. This man scores big when we go out. I think he may have more clothes than I do! But this post is about my plunder and not his….so let's get on with the haul! ...




Stop 1: Ulta. 
I went into Ulta on a whim. I have not been able to find the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil matte bronzer in the Light/Medium shade at Sephora stores. And what do you know, sitting on a bottom shelf of the Too Faced display was their last one! I had to grab it. I also picked up a Rimmel Scandaleyes Eye Paint in Pomegranate and a NYX Butter Lipgloss in Creme Brûlée. In the sale section I found OPI's All Sparkly And Gold (because who can resist gold glitter?) and my favorite Rimmel Kate Lipstick in 101.

 Stop 2: Nordstrom Rack.

At Nordstrom Rack I didn't pick up too many things (B came away with a plethora of new clothes though!). But what I did find was the Stila Kitten Must Haves Collection and OPI nail colors in Lost on Lombard and Visions of Love. I also picked up an amazing Kate Spade black mini skirt (with adorable bow detail on the back) and another white Pleione top. My beautiful friend Amy got me hooked on these tops!

Stop 3: Sephora.

I placed this order online last week. I've been patiently awaiting these things! I picked up the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation in Rose Ivory, Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in #16 (pink beige I believe), Too Faced Beauty Blogger Darlings (set includes deluxe samples of Chocolate Soleil Bronzer in medium/deep, Better Than Sex Mascara, Primed and Poreless face primer and Shadow Insurance lid primer), Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Rose Gold & Urban Decay Chill Makeup Setting Spray. I cashed in 2 100 pt perks and received a Laura Mercier Foundation Primer and Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster. I also used an offer code to pick up a deluxe sample of the Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil. The 3 samples I picked were the Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream, Glam Glow Youth Mud and Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme.

Stop 4: Walgreens.

B told me Walgreens was having 20% off all regular priced items. Naturally we went. We had to stock up on our favorite line of shampoo and conditioner, Organix. I also picked up the Revlon Age Defying Firming + Lifting foundation, the new Maybelline Master Glaze Blush Stick in Just Pinched Pink, L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Iced Latte, 2 Jordana Best Lash Extreme mascaras, a Dr. Bronners Lavender soap (which I use to clean my makeup sponges), Olay Silk Whimsey Body Wash with rose and almond extract & finally a bottle of Nature Made Prenatal vitamins (not for a baby at the moment, but for better hair and nails…and an ideal body for a baby to reside in).
