I can't believe we're already into April. 2014 is flying by! This past month has seen me buy way too many products, but some have stood the test of time and proved to be favorites...others haven't been used enough to earn that esteemed title!
St. Ives Intensive Healing Cranberry Seed & Grape Seed Oil Body Lotion
My goodness, not only does it smell amazing -- it is super hydrating and absorbs decently quickly. I apply it right after I get out of the shower and it leaves me feeling moisturized all day! And at the tail end of these dry months, I'm grateful for that!
Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser
This is my morning face wash. I find it's not great for taking makeup off or battling breakouts. It's a gentle cleanser that smells amazing. It leaves my skin feeling clean and not dried out.
Boots No. 7 Beautiful Skin Dry Skin Rescue
I picked this up at Target on sale and immediately after a few uses I went back to buy another. This is a super thick facial moisturizer that I apply nightly before bed. I wake up to gorgeous, soft, plump skin.
Dr. Jart Premium Beauty Balm
I have had about a dozen samples of this guy and finally went in on the full size. And I'm oh so glad I did. It gives me a bit of coverage with a light feel plus sun protection. Great for light makeup days! Since it only comes in one shade right now, I was worried it would be way too dark. But I find that the shade suits me just fine.
Benefit Porefessional Primer
This has been my go to primer for a few months now. It blurs the appearance of my pores and helps foundation to glide on effortlessly. Hands down the best primer I have tried.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light
I've had this bad boy for a few months now and I've really been going between this and the Nars Light Reflecting Loose Powder to set my makeup. The reason I've been preferring this lately is because the slight yellow hue really helps to diffuse (how appropriate) any redness on the skin. I even find it works well at setting my under eye concealer. If you have an issue with redness or blemishes, I would really consider buying this powder to set those trouble areas.
Physicians Formula Organic Wear Mascara
If you've read older posts of mine, you know this has been a recent and continual favorite. Although I must say, it has dried out very quickly! Whether from consistent usage or that's just how the formula is, who can say. But that does make me reconsider repurchasing whilst I have others to use up first.
Urban Decay Chill Makeup Setting Spray
With dry skin, it's hard to keep some foundations from flaking away or looking cakey as the day wears on. With this spray, however, it makes my makeup look flawless for I'd say up to about 8 hours. I spray it onto my beauty sponge after applying my foundation to really set it and get rid of that 'powdered' look. For me, this works better than spraying directly onto the face.
